Walex Biz Farms is the agriculture business of Walex Biz Group. We invest in commercial crop production, agro-processing, and the supply chain infrastructure that connects Nigerian farms to domestic and international markets.
We operate mechanised farms producing staple and cash crops — maize, rice, soybean, cassava, sesame, and horticultural produce — using modern inputs, irrigation, and agronomic practice to achieve yields well above the national average. Our farms serve as demonstration and training sites for the outgrower networks we support.
Smallholder farmers produce the majority of Nigeria's food, yet most lack access to quality inputs, finance, and reliable markets. Our outgrower program provides seed, fertiliser, extension support, and a guaranteed offtake price to registered farmers in our catchment areas — raising their yields and incomes while securing supply for our processing and export operations.
Post-harvest loss remains one of the largest drains on African agriculture. We operate drying, cleaning, milling, and cold-storage facilities that preserve value from farm gate to market, and we are expanding into value-added processing for domestic retail and export.
Walex Biz Farms draws on the Group's logistics arm for haulage, its technology arm for farm management and traceability systems, and its commodities arm for export. Few agricultural businesses in Nigeria can offer that level of integration.
